One Health recognizes that human, animal and ecosystem health are interrelated and dependent in complex ways, especially in the Arctic.
Objectives
The aim of WP7 is to integrate the One Health results of different types of knowledge (scientific, local and Indigenous) from the three study areas produced by WPs1-6 to frame a pan-Arctic model of the effects of permafrost thaw on the health and well-being of humans, wildlife, plants and environment.
The specific objectives of WP7 are to:
O7.1: Engage local stake- and rightsholders in identifying health risks in a One Health approach O7.2: Document and describe the One Health state of each study area
O7.3: Integrate knowledge on impacts from permafrost thaw on one Health to formulate solutions O7.4: Assess future health risks from thawing permafrost
O7.5: Communicate on One Health impacts
