Ecosystem changes due to permafrost degradation impact the availability of Ecosystem Services to permafrost communities.
Objectives
The aim of WP6 is to identify, classify, and map Arctic Permafrost Ecosystem Services (APES) to get a better understanding of how permafrost ecosystems support human activities in the Arctic.
The objectives of WP6 are to:
O6.1: Engage local stake- and rightsholders in study areas to value APES using participatory mapping methods
O6.2: Identify and classify regulating, provisioning, and cultural APES and defining links between social-ecological systems
O6.3: Assess the impact of permafrost thaw and coastal erosion on APES
