The ILLUQ consortium is made up of leading European and North-American research institutions, universities, stake- and rightsholder organizations, international organizations, and a small/medium-sized enterprises (SME). The project covers the entire spectrum of research from natural science, health and engineering to social science. This combination will support early and sustained progress towards the overarching mission of ILLUQ – to provide the first holistic approach to permafrost thaw, pollution, One Health and well-being in the Arctic and deliver timely products answering stakeholder needs. This mission requires the involvement of a highly skilled and experienced team.
The Steering Committee (SC) supports the Coordinarion team in execution of the project work plan and assures that the decisions made by the consortium will be implemented to the benefit of the project. The SC consists of 8 members (coordination team (4), yearly rotating early career representative (1), work package leads (2) and a One Health representative (1). In addition community representatives have a vote in the SC in matters that involve co-creation, community engagement and reserach priorities in communities. Members of the Steering committee were selected by the consortium during the kick off meeting at the start of the project.
